    SLEEVE NOTES:

The well-known Paul Mauriat Grand Orchestra has released its latest album in 1976. The album features a variety of interesting songs, such as international hit numbers that are currently making headlines and French pop songs that have graced the French hit parade, but the most notable songs are the newly recorded repertoire, including "Love is Blue," "Penelope," and "Queen of Sheba." Of course, the arrangements are also very modern. Of course, the arrangements have been modernized to incorporate the disco sound that is so popular today. Percussion is used to add a vital beat, wind instruments are used effectively to increase the intensity, and the arrangements of all the songs are meticulously crafted to successfully break new ground. In a word, this is a performance full of a very "now" feeling. Yet, the rich French poetic sentiment is not lost in the slightest. His original and innovative performance will not fail to intoxicate all audiences. This is a truly fascinating album that no one, not even fans, should miss. Now, we are pleased to present two singles from Paul Mauriat's latest album, "Love is Still Blue": "Chariot," which are coupled with the song, "Love is Still Blue."

    A Side
    Love is Still Blue:

Needless to say, this is the 1976 version of "Love is Blue." Written by Pierre Coeur and composed by André Popp ("The Portuguese Laundry Woman," etc.), the song was sung by Vicky in the 1967 Eurovision Contest, where it won fourth place. As you well know, the performance by the Paul Mauriat Grand Orchestra topped the U.S. hit parade in February and March of the following year, making Vicky a household name worldwide. This memorable song has been arranged here with a very current disco sound. Female vocals and percussion are featured on this tune.

    B Side
    I Will Follow Him (Chariot):

It is best known as a million-selling hit by the American Little Peggy March in 1963, but the original hit was by the British-born Petula Clark (1962). The original hit was by British-born Petula Clark (1962), and this is originally a French song. The lyrics were written by Jack Plant, and the music was composed by J. W. Stoll and Del Rome, but Stoll is actually Franck Pourcel, and Del Rome is nothing but an alias of Paul Mauriat. Therefore, this recording from 1976 is a rare and precious recording of their own compositions. It is indeed a lively and masterful performance.
