SLEEVE NOTES:
A. Pegase:
Paul Mauriat has already proven that he is a talented composer with his many masterpieces such as "Nocturne" and "Minuetto," but this is a new composition by his own hand. As you know, the title "Pegasus" refers to a winged horse in Greek mythology. He wrote this piece as a souvenir for his ninth tour of Japan starting in March of 1979. The music, which has the feel of "a horse in the sky," matches well with the tastes of young people in Japan, and is sure to be a big hit.
B. Elle m'oublie:
Johnny Hallyday, the "King of Yeah, Yeah" and the idol of young people all over France, is a singer of even greater stature today, and his popularity has remained unchanged. This was one of his hits in 1978. The original title of the song means “She forgets about Bo,” and it was written by Didier Barbelivien. Thinking of his daughter who left for Paris on the first bus, he sang, "She will forget me and live happily. She will forget me and live happily ever after..." This ballad is sung by the song's protagonist, who lives in the countryside. The main character is a young man living in the countryside, and the tune of the song is full of rural sentiment.
