    SLEEVE NOTES:

    The Way We Were:
It's been a while since we've seen a film with such an indescribable love theme. The film is a fascinating look at the sorrows, joys, and memories of love between Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford, and depicts the love between two men and a woman against the backdrop of the period from the 1930s to the 1950s. Directed by Sydney Pollack of "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?." The theme song, sung by Barbra Streisand, was a big hit and won an Academy Award.

    The Entertainer:
Robert Redford and Paul Newman, the two stars of "Butch Cassidy," return in this gangster film set in 1930s Chicago's underworld, giving captivating performances as gangsters. The film won an Academy Award. Directed by George Roy Hill, who also directed "Butch Cassidy." The glamorous men's fashion reminds us of the glamorous days of Hollywood. The music is directed by Marpin Hamlisch, and the theme music is by Scott Joplin.

Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head:
The story is about a pair (Paul Newman and Robert Redford) who commit a series of misdeeds, including livestock theft and bank robbery. After robbing a train, they escape their pursuers and go to Bolivia. After another string of robberies, they finally meet a spectacular end amidst a hail of gunfire. The film is directed by George Roy Hill, and features the impressive light music by Burt Bacharach (lyrics by Hal David), who won an Academy Award for Best Song.
