SLEEVE NOTES:
Star Wars:
The theme song for the 1977 science fiction movie "Star Wars," which became not only the most successful movie of all time but also a bigger hit than any previous movie, was composed by John Williams, who is currently one of the oiliest American movie musicians. It is a powerful performance that makes full use of the synthesizer. The song has been well received in Japan even before the movie was released (July 1978), and will be loved as a standard piece of movie music for a long time to come.
Hotel California:
Along with "Star Wars," this performance is an example of Lefebvre with a difference. The song is a big hit by The Eagles, well-known to popular music fans. The West Coast sound is said to be characterized by memorable melodies and a deep appeal that never gets old, and this song is a perfect example of that. Hats off to the variety of instruments used and the superb ensemble! I am very happy to have heard it.
