SLEEVE NOTES:
This is a single cut from the latest recording album (GP-432) by Raymond Lefebvre, a leading figure in the field of mood music. The first side, "J'Attendrai" is a modern arrangement of the original "J'Attendrai,"* a well-known song even for chanson fans. Lefebvre has created a wonderful sound for this masterpiece, featuring a brilliant brass section and a youthful, contemporary rhythm section, which is a departure from the traditional, calm, string-centered, heavy orchestration. "J'Attendrai" is currently a big hit in France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, and other European countries, sung by Dalida of 'Parole, Parole' fame.
The second side, "Africa (L'Été Indien)," is a beautiful song by the Italian group Albatross, which has been a big hit in Italy and other parts of Europe since last fall. As a cover record, this song has been a big hit not only with foreign artists such as Lefebvre, Paul Mauriat, Joe Dassin, and Claude Ciari, but also with Japanese artists such as Fujita Okamoto and Hiroshi Fujioka, who are extremely popular among young women. In addition, the original Albatross' performance was recorded by the same artist. The original version performed by Albatross is available from King Record under CM-4.

*: It seems that the Japanese name of the song was changed from the original and the recent version. We'll leave it as the French name.
