Why do I travel with a full band?

I am looking for direct contact with my audience. The best place to do this is in a concert hall.

This spring we played in London's famous Royal Albert Hall. We sang English folk songs with an audience of 7,000 people. The people on the first floor got up and even danced. It was the happiest moment for the musicians. I will never forget the reaction of the audience.

This is why concerts are especially important for us musicians. When we feel the sparks of exchange flying between us and the audience, we are truly happy on stage. We seek that kind of human contact. Our music must be able to reach the heart from the heart.

We hope that this will be the case in your country, Japan.

With heartfelt greetings
James Last
